Using circle trajectories
Circle trajectory is a circular path in 3D space. You can use trajectories as paths along which objects move in the Trajectory Layout and Trajectory List Box objects.
If you do not have any trajectories in your project, Kanzi Studio automatically creates a circle trajectory when you create a Trajectory Layout or a Trajectory List Box object. See Using trajectory layouts and Using trajectory list boxes.
Create a circle trajectory
To create a circle trajectory:
- In the Library right-click Trajectories and select Create > Circle Trajectory.
- In the Properties set the following properties:
- Normal to set the position of the trajectory in 3D space. For example:
- To set the trajectory parallel to the x axis, set X attribute to 1, and Y and Z attributes to 0.
- To set the trajectory parallel to the y axis, set Y attribute to 1, and X and Z attributes to 0.
- To set the trajectory diagonally into I and II, and VII and VIII octants, set X attribute to 1, Y attribute to -1, and Z to 0.
- To set the trajectory diagonally into II and III, and V and VIII octants, set Y and Z attributes to 1 and X attribute to 0.
- Radius to set the size of the trajectory.
- Angle to set the starting point of the circle trajectory.
To take the trajectory into use, set the Trajectories property of the object using trajectories to the circle trajectory you just created. See Using trajectory list boxes and Using trajectory layouts.
